Mike Wallace, drove the No. 6 Hellmann's® Dodge Charger to an eighth place finish last weekend at Daytona International Speedway, giving the Hungry Drivers; team their fourth top-ten finish of the season.
Atwood to Drive the No. 6 Hungry Drivers Dodge for Next Three Events
Casey Atwood will drive the No. 6 Hungry Drivers Dodge Charger for the next three events on the NASCAR Busch Series schedule including Chicagoland Speedway, New Hampshire International Raceway and Pikes Peak International Raceway.
Team Owner, Ray Evernham, on Casey Atwood
"The Hungry Drivers program was designed to put different drivers in the seat of the No. 6 Dodge in order to afford them the opportunity to showcase their abilities. Casey Atwood has a past relationship with Evernham Motorsports and we're excited that he accepted the invitation to pilot our Busch Car for the next three events."
Atwood on Chicagoland Speedway
"I only have two starts at Chicagoland Speedway so I don't have the experience and number of laps under my belt that some of the other Busch drivers have there. In the past, I have struggled there in part because I don't think I was in the quality equipment that you need to be successful at a track like Chicagoland. I'm really looking forward to going back this weekend in equipment that is capable of winning. It is a fast, flat track where you need not only a good motor but a car that will handle and allow you to stay on the bottom on the long runs."
Atwood will compete with chassis No.11 in this weekend's USG Durock 300 at Chicagoland Speedway. This is the same chassis that the Hungry Drivers team competed with at Atlanta (22nd - Jeremy Mayfield), the March Nashville race (15th -Kasey Kahne) and Darlington (8th -- Jeremy Mayfield).
