The thoughts of JB Steel Erectors Chevrolet driver Jimmy Henderson heading into Lowes Motor Speedway:
"We know that we are heading into the weekend fighting a stout field of competition. We tested at the track last week, and even though it was with our ASA car the goal was to gain seat time. I feel very comfortable around the track. Hopefully we'll have a good weekend."
"I have to give thanks to my dad for allowing us to come and run this weekend. We only have one NASCAR Busch Series event under our belts, but I've been racing for a long time, I know how to get the job done."
The thoughts of potentially making his second NASCAR Busch Series start:
"The NASCAR Busch Series is extremely competitive. It's been a year since we tried to attempt a Busch race, but I know we have what it takes to get the job done. I've been racing in several ARCA RE/MAX Series events this year, mixed with a couple American Speed Association races, and I feel like the lack of seat time in Busch won't play any effect on me."
The goals for the weekend:
"The goal is pretty simple. I have a feeling this is going to be a very competitive race, and we have to qualify and race upfront all day. I want to try and stay out of any trouble that may doom us, and give our Henderson Motorsports team a finish they deserve."
"I would be happy with a top-twenty finish, but if we can walk away with a top-ten, I don't know what I'll do. It would mean so much to me, my family, my team, and our sponsors to beat the odds and score an impressive finish in only our second race together."
His plans for the 2005-racing season:
"I'm really hoping to be racing. I hope that we can seal a deal with TC Motorsports (ARCA RE/MAX Series team) and run a majority of the (ARCA) events in 2005. I know it takes sponsorship to make that happen, and believe me we are looking."
"We're not going to be returning to the American Speed Association next year, but we do plan to compete more in the NASCAR Busch Series next year along with any other deals that may arise."
