REUTIMANN AIMS TO BRING HOME VICTORY FOR AARON'S AND TOYOTA
CORNELIUS, N.C (May 21, 2007) -- David Reutimann is third in the NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) standings entering Lowe's Motor Speedway in the No. 99 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry.
"I am proud of the Aaron's Dream Machine team," said Reutimann, who is the highest Toyota in the NBS points. "Every week, the guys bring a good car and have provided me the support I need to keep us in the top-five in points. I enjoy being able to show what the Toyota Camry's are capable of doing. There are two Toyota teams in the top-five point standings. That makes us feel really good about our program because we are making progress."
Reutimann tested the No. 99 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry at the 1.5-mile quad-oval earlier this month.
"We tried some things during the test and made some changes based on that which will be beneficial to us this weekend," said Reutimann. "I felt very positive about our test session and hope to bring the Aaron's Dream Machine into Victory Lane or at least finish in the top-five."
Reutimann's history at the 1.5-mile quad-oval consists of a recent 21st-place finish in the NEXTEL Open, one NASCAR Busch Series (20th) race with FitzBradshaw Racing last year and three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events (36th-engine in 2004, 17th in 2005 and sixth in 2006) with Darrell Waltrip Motorsports.
"I really like the track because it is multi-groove and very smooth now," said Reutimann. "I also enjoy it for the obvious reason that it is close to home."
Being less than an hour from home, Reutimann has enjoyed spending time with his family. Reutimann also appreciates the time his crew can spend with their own families.
"We are enjoying family time together," Reutimann said. "Emilia is graduating from preschool this week so we have done a lot of things to show her how proud we are of her. Also, the crew guys get to have family time, which is a great way to recharge the batteries for our team."
