Buckshot Jones Track Notes Myrtle Beach Speedway
"Myrtle Beach is a tough track to race on. Every time we get on the track there is a lot of beating and banging. Track position means so much because it's hard to pass. We hope to qualify well and stay towards the front. I've raced here a few times in Busch Series competition and had some good races in the Slim Jim All-Pro Series. Hopefully, I have learned a few things that will help us this weekend." -- Buckshot Jones, Driver No.00 Cheez-It® Pontiac NASCAR Busch Series Results - Myrtle Beach Speedway

In his three Busch Series races at Myrtle Beach Speedway, Jones has consistently started and finished in the top 15. However, it has not been easy. In 1997, Jones spun and his rear end hit the inside retaining wall late in the race, but battled back to capture a top-10 finish. The No.00 Cheez-It® team is fielding the same Pontiac that Jones piloted in Milwaukee two weeks ago and in Loudon two months ago. Jones advanced 25 positions to a 16th place finish at The Milwaukee Mile after starting in the rear of the field due to a driver change between qualifying and race day. Jay Sauter qualified the car while Jones ran the Winston Cup Pepsi 400 in Daytona.
Buckshot will be joined in Myrtle Beach by other members of the Jones family and several friends. They plan to spend time away from the track, relaxing at the beach!
