Buckshot Jones / Notes and Quotes Daytona International Speedway
"Our team is making a fresh start in 2000 and I'm really looking forward to getting started at Daytona. Being back in the Busch Series is a smart move for us. This series is one of the most competitive and spending another year competing against these teams will only help us reach our goals. We have made some significant changes that we hope will help get us to victory lane and contend for the championship." --- Buckshot Jones, driver of the Cheez-It Pontiac
Back Behind The Wheel
Jones tested Daytona International Speedway in late January and posted a time of 48.799 seconds and a speed of 184.430 mph.
"The first day of the test was really good. We have been successful at Daytona, but we tried several different things that I think will help us get better for the race. We had motor problems the second day, so we really had to throw that day out because we spent time trying to fix the problems.
Cheez-It snack crackers, a brand of Keebler Food Company, has returned to Buckshot Racing as primary sponsor for a second year. Before becoming a primary sponsor, Keebler was an associate sponsor on the No. 00 for two years.
