Jon Wood Quotes
On Bristol: "The thing about Bristol is you never know what to expect there. I've seen people go in there with a lot of confidence and get caught up in a crash; I've seen people go in there not expecting much and get a Top-5 finish. We're going in there with this attitude: We have great cars and great motors, so our game plan is to stay out of trouble. If we do that, everything else will fall into place."
On the season: "We're 11th in points and moving toward the Top 10, but I have to admit I'm really frustrated. We've had a Top 5 car four weeks in a row and something strange seems to happen to us. We have too many what- ifs and would-haves, should-haves and could-haves that are going on right now. We have fast race cars and we're running up front, but it's getting to the point where we need to start finishing where we're supposed to. We're so much better than an 11th-place car."
Crew Chief Jay Guy
On Bristol: "There isn't a track on the circuit that puts a bigger scare into a crew chief than Bristol. It's so fast and it's so tight, it's too easy to get caught up in somebody else's problem. You can be 20 cars behind a spin and you only have a second to dodge it. The secret is to get up front and stay ahead of the problems. The first goal anytime you go to Bristol is to bring the car home in one piece."
