ANDRETTI HITS THE "WORLD'S FASTEST HALF-MILE"
* Andretti and the #10 FreedomRoads machine are locked into the qualifying field in Bristol for the first time in the 2006 season. The team sits 29th in NASCAR Busch Series Owner's point standings after the completion of the Nicorette 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The team is breathing a sign of relief but will still be focused on having a clean race and avoiding the accidents Bristol Motor Speedway racing is known for.
* The #10 team is taking chassis # 18 to Bristol. This is the same car Michel Jourdain ran in the Spring Lowe's race in 2005 with much success. The body has been re-done in the off season in preparation for Bristol.
* In 17 Nextel Cup starts at Bristol Motor Speedway, Andretti led 51 laps and completed 88.0% of all the laps possible.
* Andretti's average start in Bristol is 26.2 and his average finish is 23.6.
ANDRETTI AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Saturday's Sharpie Mini 300 will be Andretti's first start at Bristol Motor Speedway in the Busch Series, but he has 17 Nextel Cup starts on the Tennessee .533-mile, dubbed the "World's fastest half-mile."
ANDRETTI ON THE SHARPIE MINI 300 AND BRISTOL
"The Bristol race is exciting for fans but for drivers and car owners it's more frustrating than anywhere else we go because most times it's a crash fest. It's like motorcycles racing in a barrel. That's great for the fans because they get to see all of the action right in front of them. I don't blame them; I like watching those races too but being in them can be very frustrating."
