Robert Pressley Quotes
On Bristol: "This is short-track racing at its best. It has it all: Speed, action and attitude. There's no easy way to pass there because you're going so fast, so you have to move people out of the way. It's how most of us learned how to race on the little short tracks back home. The only difference is, we're racing at superspeedway speeds. You have to keep the car on the bottom groove. If you slip up, you're going to get passed by 15 or 20 cars before you can get back in line. If you get bumped from behind you have to hold your ground. The best way to stay out of trouble is to get up front and not let anyone get close enough to push you out of the way."
On the season: "We don't get to race often in this selected schedule, but when we do, we're at racetracks that we really like. Bristol is one of my favorite places, so we're going with the attitude to have fun and race hard. We don't have to worry about points or the championship, so we can afford to hang it out a little bit."
Crew Chief Dan Deeringhoff Quote
On Bristol: "It's a good thing we only make selected appearances because you usually have a lot of work to do on the car after a race at Bristol. Even the guys who stay out of trouble usually have a lot of tire marks and dents. Our next race is in two weeks at Richmond, so that gives us a lot of time to put everything back together."
