Jon Wood Quotes
On Bristol: "We were 11th in our first race at Bristol in April, and we came away with several things that could have made the day even better. So we're going back with a better feel for the track and what it takes to be successful there. The big thing is to stay out of trouble and keep all the fenders on the car. To be successful there, you have to find a rhythm and pick your fights."
On the season: "None of us are happy when we don't finish in the Top 10, but we knew there would be a lot of learning involved in this rookie season. We've come a long way this year. We get a better idea of what the car needs every week. The challenge is to take all that information each week and put it to practical use. As we continue to grow, the results will improve."
Crew Chief Jay Guy
On Bristol: "The best part about Bristol is we can just turn Jon loose and watch him drive. He loves to drive hard, and he's not afraid to mix it up. We're not one of the teams fighting for a championship. We're building for the future. That means he can drive hard and not worry about the standings. Bristol isn't the kind of place where you can be careful. You have to attack it, you have to be aggressive from start to finish."
