Johnny Sauter will be making his first NASCAR Busch Series start in 2007 for Brewco Motorsports in the #27 Kleenex Ford Fusion for the FOOD CITY 250. Earlier this season, Sauter drove the #37 Ford for Brewco at Nashville on April 7th (Q -- 4th; F -- 35th).
Johnny Sauter on Bristol: Bristol is my kind of race track. I grew up racing on high-banked short tracks in the Midwest, and I love Bristol. We had a good test there on the new surface a couple weeks ago. Basically, I think you'll see the same ol' Bristol with some two-wide, fast, short-track racing. Anytime you can run both Busch and Cup the same weekend, I love it. I'm glad for the opportunity to race again for Kleenex and Brewco Motorsports."
Stewart Cooper (Crew Chief for the #27 Kleenex Ford Fusion) on Bristol: "We had a great test with Johnny (Sauter) at Bristol several weeks ago, Johnny was really quick and our car performed well. The truck race on Wednesday night will really help because those guys will put some rubber on the track. Bristol is Johnny Sauter's type of track, so the Kleenex crew is really excited about having him in our car this week. We qualified 8th at Bristol earlier this year, but had a battery issue early in the race. Ward (Burton) turned laps as fast as the leader all afternoon, but we didn't get the result we deserved. I'm bringing the same car back to Bristol and we're looking for a good night!"
