JASON LEFFLER COUNTING ON TEAM'S EXPERIENCE AND TOYOTA HORSEPOWER TO HELP GET HIM TO VICTORY LANE AT BRISTOL
* In the 2006 NBS events at Bristol, Leffler proved that he had the knack for beating and banging on the half-mile track. Putting down his strongest career performances at the track, Leffler ran in the top-five during both events but a blown tire in the spring put an end to his chance to contend for the win. In the fall race, Leffler recorded his best career finish at the track by finishing fifth after starting 20th.
* Leffler enjoyed his first week of fatherhood this week as he and wife Alison, welcomed their son Charlie last Thursday, August 16th.
* Leffler currently sits fourth in the NASCAR Busch Series point standings, 142 behind Toyota teammate, David Reutimann.
LEFFLER ON BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
"When I first started racing stock cars, I really dreaded going to Bristol because it was a track I really struggled at. But over time, it's a place I have come to enjoy and I think my performance has improved there with every race. We were very competitive at Bristol last year and I think with just a little more horsepower we could have been a real contender for the win. The Great Clips team is looking forward to going back this time and see what our No. 38 Toyota can do. Todd Lohse has a good handle on the set-up you need to run well at a short track like Bristol and with the Toyota horsepower underneath us, I think we have a good shot at being there at the end and hopefully grabbing another win."
