EDWARDS, BIFFLE AND CHARTER GET HOOKED AT BRISTOL

CONCORD, N.C. (Mar 28, 2005) - Carl Edwards, NASCAR Busch Series points leader and Raybestos Rookie of the Year leader, and his No. 60 Charter Team will go into Bristol after a tough fought fourth place finish in Nashville. This weekend Edwards gets hooked with Greg Biffle and Charter employees sponsoring Charter Pole Day and sporting a special Charter paint scheme on the No. 16 Nextel Cup Ford Taurus. Edwards and Biffle team up and will make a great duel for Charter during the Bristol Motor Speedway race weekend. Charter sponsors Pole Day and offers fans the opportunity to watch NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch Series drivers shake down their cars during practice sessions held throughout the day on Friday. That evening, at 5:40 p.m., NASCAR's elite take to the track to see who can conquer the .533-mile concrete oval and capture the pole for Sunday's Food City 500.

The Sharpie Professional 250 will be Edwards' second Busch race on the 0.5 oval. He brings Craftsman Truck series experience with him and a very impressive win from last year.

The Charter Team will unload Chassis No. 63 for this weekend's Sharpie Professional 250. They go to Bristol with the confidence and determination to win the race, but know they need to keep their eye on the big picture of contending for the Busch Series Championship.

"We are very excited about going to Bristol. We are taking chassis 63. We didn't run it last year, but the last time the N0. 60 Charter car was there it did pretty good. Carl won the truck race the last time he was there. We need to go in there and have a good points day and stay out of trouble. We also need to have the right strategy. We need to keep racing the race tracks, because that's what it will take to come out on top at the end of the day," stated Brad Parrott, Crew Chief of the No. 60 Charter Ford Taurus.

"Bristol is one of my favorite tracks and I always have a blast there. I won the truck race there last year and I am looking forward to having a great race on Saturday. I can't wait," commented Edwards.

The No. 60 Charter Team retained first overall in the NASCAR Busch Series standings and is 95 points ahead of second place contender Reed Sorenson. Edwards also leads the Raybestos Rookie competition.
