Skip Barber trained Todd Bodine, on a timely hot streak at a turning point in his career, will keep his seat in Buckshot Jones's No. 00 car in this weekend's Aaron's 312 Busch Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Bodine, 36, has bounced back and forth between Busch and Winston Cup for six or seven years, never getting the right break at the right time.

Suddenly, however, Bodine has won two straight Busch races and appears to be doing a fine job in Winston Cup. Bodine, who signed on with Carter full-time this season, led the most laps Sunday at Las Vegas and finished fifth.

Jones, also full-time in Winston Cup this season with Petty Enterprises, had planned to split driving duties in Busch this season with Bodine and other drivers. Jones was to have driven the car at Las Vegas, but Bodine's Rockingham victory changed all that. He also had intended to drive the 00 car at Atlanta.

Instead, Bodine, on the hot streak, will stay put. The 203-lap race is scheduled for Saturday at 1 pm.

"Todd and the team have a lot of momentum going over there right now,” said Jones, "We didn’t want to disrupt that momentum.”
