Michael Waltrip Ready For First Race With Braun Racing
* Fellow Toyota driver, Michael Waltrip, will be piloting the No. 32 Camping World Toyota Camry for Braun Racing in the Nicorette 300 Busch Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This is the first time Waltrip has driven for Braun Racing owner, Todd Braun. Deciding to sit out 2007 Busch Series competition and handing over the reigns of his own Busch car to David Reutimann, Waltrip is looking forward to the opportunity to jump behind the wheel of another Camry in the Busch Series. This also gives Waltrip some additional track time, allowing him to gain more information to use with his Cup Series effort.
* There is no doubt Waltrip knows his way around Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS). In Busch Series competition, he has logged thirteen starts at AMS, capturing four top-five and six top-10 finishes. He's also completed 88% of all laps possible and led 230 laps.
* Waltrip and the No. 32 Braun Racing team welcome sponsor Camping World back for the Nicorette 300. Camping World sponsored Braun Racing entries in Daytona and Las Vegas already this season.
WALTRIP ON RACING AT ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
"This weekend I'm driving the No. 32 Camping World Toyota Camry for Braun Racing," Waltrip said. "I have already missed being behind the wheel of my Busch car (No. 99 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry). The competition is strong and it's anybody's race. You never know who might win."
"Atlanta Motor Speedway has been a good track for me in the NASCAR Busch Series," Waltrip continued. "I've been close to a victory at that track before. I had a third-place finish in 2001, a runner-up finish in 2002 and a fourth-place finish the following season. I've racked up four top-five and six top-10 finishes at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Since I have a lot of experience at that track, I know I can do a good job for Camping World and Braun Racing.
The No. 32 Camping World team will compete with chassis #33 in this weekend's Nicorette 300. This is a brand new car for Braun Racing that was converted to a Toyota in the off-season.
