Jon Wood Quotes
On Atlanta: "I'll never forget last year's truck series race at Atlanta -- the only time I've raced there. Bobby Hamilton and Mike Skinner were beating and banging, side-by-side all the way through the fourth turn and to the finish line. Skinner went spinning through the infield grass and Hamilton won the race. The point about Atlanta is you can run two- or three-wide there, so it gives you a lot of options on the way you set your car up. I think that's why most drivers like that track more than anywhere else."
On the season: "We moved up three spots in the Busch Series standings after Las Vegas because we've continued to be consistent. We learned a lot about our car at Las Vegas, and that should help us down the road. We're building toward the big picture and as long as we keep making positive steps, we shouldn't have any problems reaching our goals of winning races and finishing in the Top 10."
Crew Chief Jay Guy
On Atlanta: "The great thing about Atlanta for a crew chief is, if your driver likes to run the bottom, you can fix the car to run on the bottom. If he likes to run up top, you can fix it to run up top. And you can fix it to run anywhere in between. That's why it's such a great racetrack. Jon likes to go fast, so it's just a matter of figuring out where he's most comfortable: on the bottom, up top or in the middle."
