Jason Leffler to Pilot the No. 10 Fraternal Order of Eagles Toyota Camry Under the Lights of Bristol Motor Speedway
MOORESVILLE, NC. (August 17, 2010) -- Braun Racing is pleased to announce that long-time marketing partner, the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE), will take center stage as primary sponsor of the No. 10 Toyota Camry in the upcoming Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The international non-profit organization will proudly adorn the hood of the team's No. 10 entry, to be driven by veteran driver, Jason Leffler, for the first time this season.
The FOE first partnered with Braun Racing in 2005, and their logo has adorned all of Braun Racing's entries since that time. Last season, the FOE served as primary sponsor on the No. 10 Camry at Iowa Speedway in an effort to draw attention to their partnership with the University of Iowa to raise $25 million for 'The Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center'. The research center at the University of Iowa is currently under construction, and is expected to be completed in 2013.
Leffler, a Long Beach, Calf.-native, burst onto the NASCAR scene in 2000 after making a name for himself claiming three consecutive National Midget Championships. Over the next several seasons, Leffler spent time in all three of NASCAR's top series. He scored his first Truck Series win at Dover International Speedway in 2003 and captured his first NASCAR Nationwide Series victory in 2004 at Nashville Superspeedway. Mid-way through the 2005 season, Leffler teamed up with Braun Racing to pilot their entry in the Nationwide Series. The partnership proved successful as Leffler returned in 2006 to drive the No. 38 Great Clips entry, which he has driven for the last four seasons. This year, while splitting his time between the No. 10 and No. 38 entries, he has posted four top-five and seven top-10 finishes and currently sits 10th in the Nationwide Series championship driver standings.
Leffler is excited about representing the Fraternal Order of Eagles at Bristol in the No. 10 Camry.
"I am proud to have the opportunity to represent an organization like FOE," said Leffler. "They came on board the same year I did at Braun Racing, and I have been proud to represent them both on and off the track ever since. Their mission of promoting peace and prosperity through charitable efforts is one that is very important, and I think everyone can support. I hope I can bring awareness to the organization and their charitable efforts driving the No. 10 Fraternal Order of Eagles Camry at Bristol, and hopefully we can bring home a win for the one million FOE members across the country!"
