Snow Flakes in Atlanta Cancel Qualifying -- Kenny Wallace to Start 32nd

Hampton, GA -- Team members and race fans alike had to be somewhat surprised this morning when they awoke to drive to Atlanta Motor Speedway for NASCAR Nationwide Series Qualifying. Snow was falling at the mile and a half track, causing NASCAR officials to cancel qualifying and set the field based on owner points.

Therefore, the #36 Shark Energy Drink Dodge, driven by Kenny Wallace in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for Fitz Motorsports, will roll-off 32nd this afternoon in the Nicorette 300 from Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The weather has been uncooperative the entire weekend, including yesterday morning when the first practice session for the Nationwide Series was canceled due to rain. Still, the teams managed to salvage the afternoon practice, which Kenny posted the 31st fastest time.

"At the start of the practice the car was pushing the nose really bad, especially in the center of the turns, so the guys went to work. Rick (Gay) made a lot of changes throughout the practice and at the end the car was handling better," said Shark Energy Drink driver Kenny Wallace.

Currently the #36 Shark Energy Drink Dodge sits 27th in owner points, and with Bristol next weekend the intentions are clear -- gain points. "We've had our first goal set since Daytona (lock the #36 into the top-30), and we're very close to achieving that step. Atlanta's the same scenario -- stay out of trouble, have a solid finish and gain points," said Kenny.
