Round Nineteen of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series returns to historic Watkins Glen International in upstate New York for the second time. The Sunday afternoon race, The Parts America 150, will run 62 laps/151.9 miles in the traditional two-segment format, and will start 34 Trucks.

Watkins Glen International is one of the oldest and most famous of American road racing circuits, located in the farm hills of New York state. Scene of early Formula One Grands Prix races, it hosts all three of the major NASCAR touring series, as well as races from other series such as SCCA, PSCR nee IMSA, as well as major vintage races. The Trucks will run on the 'NASCAR' course, a 2.45-mile, 11-turn configuration of paved track. The banking varies from six to ten degrees, and the front straight is 2,150 feet long and the back straight is even longer, at 2,600 feet. Watkins Glen is the second of three road race tracks on the 26-race schedule this season for the Trucks.

This will be RICK CRAWFORD'S first visit to Watkins Glen and only his second road course race. He's looking forward to the challenge of the scenic road circuit which brings the opportunity to take over the lead in the CINTAS Rookie Championship and break into the Driver Points Top Ten. Veteran Crew Chief ROLAND WLODYKA is well-versed in road circuit preparation and the crew is excited about its first visit to The Glen. Last weekend in the Federated Auto Parts 250, RICK CRAWFORD persevered, despite a brutal heat wave at Nashville Speedway USA, to finish eighth in a hotly (no pun intended) race which started 34 Trucks and saw but five finish on the lead lap. Crawford was one of several drivers in need of oxygen and medical attention after the race due to heat exhaustion and a burned elbow. Crawford and the crew had worked hard Friday and Saturday on the setup, and he qualified tenth out of a field of 41 drivers. During the race, due to superb driving, Crawford avoided trucks crashing and spinning in front of him, and survived the heat and rough track surface to finish in the top ten, narrowing the gap in the closely-contested Rookie contest.

RICK CRAWFORD remains in second place in the Cintas Rookie Point Standings but is now only one point behind the leader, with 182 points. Crawford has been second of 22 drivers in the Cintas field all season. He has one top-five and seven top-ten finishes so far, with 14 of the 26 finishes counting for the Cintas award.

RICK CRAWFORD remains eleventh in winnings, earning $172,670 so far this season.

RICK CRAWFORD is tied for 11th in the Points, out of 129 Drivers in the 1997 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Driver Standings, with 2246 points. Crawford is the top-running independent privateer in the Truck series.

RICK CRAWFORD is eighth in the Standings of Miles Run with Driver, Miles Run and Maximum Possible number of Miles Run...2575.182 out of 2765.361.

Rookie Crawford's record in the seventeen NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rounds so far this year:
