FOUR OUT OF FIVE: Tundra driver Johnny Benson picked up his fourth win in the past five NCTS races in Saturday's Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Superspeedway. Along with his Nashville victory, the Grand Rapids, Mich.-native earned wins at Milwaukee (June 20), Kentucky (July 19) and Indianapolis (July 25). Toyota drivers Bodine (third), Ted Musgrave (eighth) and David Starr (ninth) also earned top-10 finishes. Other Toyota drivers in the field included Cook (12th), David Stremme (13th), Mike Skinner (17th), Justin Marks (20th), Shane Sieg (25th) and Michael Annett (33rd).
BENSON THE BEST: With his win in Nashville, Benson extended his NCTS points lead and now holds a 45-point advantage over second-place Ron Hornaday, Jr. In 15 races this season, Benson has three poles, nine top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. Other Tundra drivers in the top-10 include Bodine (fourth), Skinner (fifth), Cook (ninth) and Starr (10th), with 10 races remaining on the schedule.
JB ON A ROLL: "We're having a good year," says Benson, who became just the fifth NCTS driver to win three consecutive races. "The last couple of years have been real good. I've been proud of what the team has been able to do the last couple years. This year it just seems like we are on a roll."
EIGHT IS GREAT: Tundra drivers have registered eight NCTS wins in 2008. Benson (four wins) and Busch (California and Atlanta) have each won multiple truck races while Tundra racers Bodine (Daytona) and Scott Speed (Dover) each have one NCTS victory in 2008.
