DOVER, Del. (September 18, 2000) - Randy Tolsma has never raced a truck at Dover Downs, but he won't be any further behind the rest of the competition in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. It's going to be a tough race for the tough trucks, but Tolsma is confident that his team will find a comfort zone somewhere on the track otherwise known as the Monster Mile.

"There's just no other track we can compare to Dover, so it could be anyone's race," said Tolsma. "It's not even fair to compare Dover to any other track because the characteristics are totally unique - it's just in a class of its own. I really don't know what to expect when we get there because I've never raced on anything like it. So, we'll rely on some notes from other teams, and then use the test date NASCAR has given us on Wednesday to make some notes of our own."

NASCAR has scheduled a test date for the Craftsman Truck Series on Wednesday September 20, in order to prepare themselves for the 200 mile inaugural event which heads up the triple header weekend with the Busch Grand National Series and Winston Cup Series in Delaware.

Tolsma is focusing on a good finish or another win to complete the season for the CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil Dodge team. The spin in Richmond that put the No. 25 out of contention is now a faded memory as far as Tolsma is concerned, but he is more determined than ever to finish out the season with another win.

"We lost some spots in the points last week at Richmond, but the points battle is so close right now we are practically neck in neck with the two teams in front of us. I'm not looking to tear up any more trucks, that's for sure. I'm shooting for fifth or better in the points chase, and if we can finish as the top Dodge in the series, that would be a great accomplishment for this CITGO team."

Bud pole qualifying for the MBNA ecommerce.com200 is scheduled to occur on Thursday September 21, at 2:30 p.m. EST. The race will commence on Friday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. EST, and the action on the 1 mile banked concrete of Dover Downs will be televised via tape delay at 8:00 p.m. EST on ESPN. The Motor Racing Network (MRN) will call the race live as it happens at 4:00 p.m. EST.
