Technical alliance between Venturini Motorsports and Kyle Busch Motorsports provides an invaluable opportunity.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Venturini Motorsports has aligned with Kyle Busch Motorsports to field Matt Tifft in the Camping World Truck Series opener at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 20.
Tifft, a KBM development driver, will have support from Federated Auto Parts on the No. 25 Tundra for the NextEra Energy 250.
“As a driver, it’s an honor and a privilege to race at Daytona,” Tifft said in the release. “Daytona has played such a huge role in NASCAR over the years. I’m excited for this opportunity and looking forward to my first laps around the iconic track.”
Building his CV
Tifft is studying business at the University of Charlotte. The 18-year-old Hinckley, Ohio native made his truck debut last season. Tifft competed in three events with his best effort of eighth earned at Martinsville Speedway. He has 24 K&N Pro Series starts and 12 starts in ARCA.
“Last year we had a few good runs but it was mostly about gaining experience and getting comfortable in the truck,” Tifft added. “This will be my first restrictor plate race so I need to be smart with my strategy and adapt to the style of racing.”
Tifft signed with KBM to run six races in 2015 starting with Gateway Motorsports Park on June 13 followed by Iowa, Eldora, Las Vegas and Talladega. He will share driving duties with the owner and Daniel Suarez in the No. 51 Tundra.
