TERRY COOK POST RACE QUOTES -

"The Power Stroke ® Diesel/Oil Mateâ"' Ford started off really good at the beginning of a run," said Cook. "About the first 35 laps, the truck was as fast as the leader and we were running in the Top-5. It started to fade a little bit about the middle of the first run, but the truck came back to us again at the end of a run. Burning the fuel load off changed the weight balance and all the sudden we were good again."

"We had to pit under green because we ended up running out of fuel in Turn 3 at Lap 63," said Cook. "We were watching our fuel gauge because that's about where we thought we would have to come in and take on fuel. We ended up getting pinned a lap down with a lot of trucks during that sequence. We stayed up front and had a fast enough truck to drive away from them and earn our way back on the lead lap. Unfortunately, we got inside somebody and somehow the flicker came off the left front. When it came off, we lost front down force. We didn't know it came off and we kept making different changes to try and free the truck up. We got it too free at one point. When other trucks were closely behind the Power Stroke ® Diesel Ford it was way too loose. Also, we found out later that we had a front tire going down from a staple. There were a lot of issues going on the last 40 laps of the race that kept us from finishing in the Top-5. It was still a real strong finish here for the No. 29 Power Stroke Diesel/Oil Mate Ford team. It gives us something to go on to help us pick up our program. We've got some more really good tracks coming up here at the end of the season that we have run well at before in the past."
