Ft. Worth, TX: Eric Jones qualified the No. 03 Team EJP Chevrolet in the 16th position for Saturday's Chevy Silverado 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Texas Motor Speedway. Jones recorded a fast lap of 30.067 seconds/176.43 miles per hour which slots him inside the eighth row on the grid. Andy Houston won the pole for the race with a time of 29.747 seconds/181.53 miles per hour.

Jones is driving the same truck he qualified seventh with and drove to a sixth-place finish at Kansas Speedway in July, and the same truck he ran here at Texas in June.

"We are a touch disappointed with our qualifying lap," Jones said as the team prepared for the final practice session before tomorrow's race. "We bottomed out really hard, it hit the cross member and bell housing. No telling exactly how much it cost us on the clock, but it definitely slowed us down."

Jones believes the experience the team gained in the O'Reilly 400 at Texas Motor Speedway will be a major asset for the Silverado 350 on Saturday.

"We had a great race here in June," Jones continued. "We started from the back and worked our way through traffic pretty quickly. Something happened in the engine and we ran most of the day on seven cylinders. Even down a cylinder, we passed a lot of trucks and picked up some positons. With some Hutter magic under the hood this week, we should be even better. I can't wait to get on the track tomorrow and get this race underway."

The Silverado 350 is scheduled to begin at 3 P.M. Eastern, and can be seen live on Speed Channel. It can also be heard on MRN Radio affiliates nationwide and on NASCAR Radio, Channel 144 on XM Satellite Radio.
