Deborah On Texas:
Deborah is coming off a career high 12th place finish last week at Dover -- and the second best finish ever by a female in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
"Needless to say I am very excited about getting back behind the wheel of my No. 8 DODGE this week after our run at Dover. I raced at Texas last year but our day ended pretty early with engine problems. It is a fantastic facility they have there and the track is one of the fastest we race on. I like the multiple grooves and lines around the track as it makes for some exciting racing. My team has given me great trucks each week and if I get comfortable with the truck like I did last week we will have another solid run. I see no reason why that should not be the case -- my confidence is at an all time high and I need to repeat the performance of last week."
Deborah Visits Hollywood:
Just hours after capturing her career best finish of 12th at the "Monster Mile" of the Dover International Speedway, Deborah jetted off to Hollywood where she filmed a segment for an upcoming major motion picture. She spent the day Monday shooting footage at the California Speedway for a feature that will appear on the DVD release of the movie. Look for details to be released soon!
"We had a blast on Monday in shooting that footage but it was a long day. I have a new found appreciation for that industry and what it takes to produce that form of entertainment that we take for granted. There are many similarities between that industry and ours and the attention to detail is what I noticed the most; as well as the amount of work it takes to get everything ready for just a few minutes of filming -- just like the work it takes to get these trucks ready to race for a few hours. I was honored to be included in such a high profile production and look forward to doing more of that in the future. But now it is time to get the focus back on racing and have us another career run this week in Texas."
No.8 DODGE at Texas:
Deborah will be racing "Hulk" this weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway. This is the same truck that she raced earlier this season at Atlanta and California. She raced to a 20th place finish with "Hulk" at California.
Career at Texas:
This will be the second career start at the Texas Motor Speedway for Deborah Renshaw. She competed in the fall race at Texas last season and her day ended early with an engine problem and relegated her to a 34th place finish.
