· TEAM RC LOOKING FOR MORE THAN A TOP-10 Stacy Compton has collected eight top-five's, two top-10's and two Bud Pole Awards through the first 13 events yet he has not parked the No. 86 RC Dodge in winner's circle this season. "We need to get a win," Compton said. "We started the season with some great runs (six top-five's in the first six races) and we've had some bad luck a couple of times (an internal problem at Pikes Peak, finished 30th. A cut tire at Portland's road course, finished 17th). We need to win this weekend here in Nashville."
· TEAM RC WANTS TO BE FIRST TO BE LAST Pit strategy will be a key factor this weekend for the 250-lap race, especially around the 150-lap mark as most teams calculate last stop for fuel. "Jimmy (Hensley) was the one of the first trucks to make a final stop in last year's race," said Compton. "He was able to get the lead when other were forced to pit later in the race. We want to be in that position to win on Saturday." Look for Team RC to work on fuel mileage during the race.
· TIRE WEAR, LONG RUNS, HIGH-BANKS AND A GUITAR Compton feels that tire wear will not be the biggest concern for Team RC this weekend. "The tires did not fall off the truck like everybody expected last year," said Compton. "We never got a long run here and it hurt us." Compton's performance on short tracks is impressive with six top-five's in 1999. "We won the pole at Bakersfield and I-70 earlier this season, and this track has the same high-banking as those two tracks. I want to win the guitar this weekend."
