SCOTT HANSEN No. 52 Oakwood Homes Chevrolet Notes and Quotes Evergreen Speedway
Although this is the first time that USG SHEETROCK® Brand Rookie of the Year contender Scott Hansen has raced at Evergreen Speedway, he is looking forward to getting back on a short track.
"Short tracks have always been a favorite of mine," Hansen said. "I have raced on short tracks all of my life, and our crew chief, Wally Brown, has a great deal of experience on short tracks."
Hansen can see another top-10 finish in his future at Evergreen Speedway. He feels that he has all that he needs to be successful at Evergreen, even though he is a stranger to the track.
"I am very excited about going to Evergreen," Hansen said. "Although I have never been to this track, I am looking forward to it in a big way. We tested the truck we will race at Evergreen on other short tracks in the area, and we were very pleased with the outcome. This is a great truck. I have really been looking forward to racing it."
Hansen will start the race at Evergreen Speedway this weekend 10th overall points. He is confident he will move up in points after this weekend's race.
"Although I was experienced at Phoenix, it is totally different driving a truck than it is to drive a stock car," Hansen said. "The aerodynamics of the vehicle take more time to get adjusted to. I think that going back to a smaller track will put the Oakwood Homes team back up in points. I have no doubt that this team can have a top-five or top-10 finish at Evergreen Speedway."
