" Gaughan used his good finish at Nashville to stretch his lead in the Raybestos® Rookie standings. He leads Bill Lester by 50 points (193-143) points entering the Virginia is for Lovers 200 at Richmond International Raceway.
" Gaughan was also the highest qualifying Raybestos® Rookie at Nashville, taking the 11th starting position in time trials. Gaughan has now been the highest qualifying rookie in five races this season.
" Five Raybestos® Rookies qualified for the Nashville event and four were running at the finish of the race: Gaughan, Jason Small (15th), Bill Lester (16th), and loni Richardson (27th). Dana White (34th) parked his car early in the race due to handling problems with his truck.

" Billy Bigley had a good run at Richmond, coming away with a tenth place finish. Bigley and Hendrick were the only two rookies to finish in the top-10. Bigley also had a good run in time trials, taking the 13th starting position.
" Seven Raybestos® Rookies started the race and only one, Matt Crafton, failed to finish the event. Crafton was involved in an accident and was credited with a 32nd place finish. The rest of the class: Travis Kvapil (11th), Jon Wood (13th), Willy T. Ribbs (20th), and Brian Rose (24th).
