REIGNING ARCA RE/MAX CHAMPION JUSTIN LOFTON JOINS RED HORSE RACING FOR THE 2010 SEASON
MOORESVILLE, N.C.(November 9, 2009) -- Red Horse Racing is pleased to announce the recently crowned ARCA Re/Max Champion, Justin Lofton, will compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series behind the wheel of a Toyota in 2010.
Lofton will drive the #7 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra for the full 2010 season. His ARCA Re/Max Crew Chief, Mark Rette, will also be joining the RHR family to call the shots for the #7 team.
At just 11 years old, Lofton began his racing career on downhill mountain bikes. He worked through the ranks eventually making his way to the NASCAR Grand National West Series in 2006. After two full seasons, Lofton made the move to the ARCA Re/Max Series in 2008 joining Eddie Sharp Racing. In his first full season, the Westmoreland, California native earned five top-10 finishes including a win at Michigan International Speedway. The following season, Lofton saw even more success. He earned 19 top-10 finishes in just 21 races, including six wins and five poles en route to claiming the 2009 ARCA Re/Max Championship. Lofton has never made a Camping World Truck Series start but says he is up for the challenge.
"I am very excited to be a part of Red Horse Racing," said Lofton. "This is a huge opportunity for me to join such an impressive organization. I'm very thankful that I was able to bring Mark Rette with me and I look forward to carrying the same success we ended this year with onto the Camping World Truck Series next year. It's a highly competitive series and I can't wait to start racing with those guys."
Lofton Cattle will serve an associate sponsor. Red Horse Racing is still seeking sponsorship partners for the #7 Toyota Tundra.
Team Co-Owner Tom DeLoach is happy to add the young talent to the Red Horse Racing stable.
"We congratulate Justin on winning the 2009 ARCA Re/Max Championship and are very pleased to have him join the Red Horse Racing family for the 2010 season," said DeLoach. "We look forward to a strong overall performance by Justin and his team as we pursue Rookie of the Year honors for him."
