During his weekend off from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Randy Renfrow served as the Grand Marshall for the 1-mile Fun Run at the La Fayette Elementary School in Kipling, North Carolina.

Randy gave the 535 students some quick advice before they ran their 1-mile race and afterwards, signed autographs and answered all the kindergarten through fifth grader's questions on racing. After the morning's excitement, Randy joined the students for lunch in their cafeteria.

"Randy was just terrific. He spent 4 hours signing autographs and talking to each child. He is a true gentleman and a good role model. Our children need to see more individuals like him that keep them encouraged about their future. He has made a lot of people here, NASCAR fans. The students will be watching him race in California," stated Susan VunCannon, Reading Lab Teacher.

"I really enjoyed my visit and appreciate the invitation. It was great to personally meet each kid and I look forward to going back. It was a neat deal," commented Randy.

Randy and TKO Motorsports head to California for the NAPA Auto Parts 200 this weekend. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series' final event takes place on October 30, at California Speedway in Fontana. The TKO Motorsports crew has the #41 Farris Concrete Dodge geared up for the fast 2-mile track. "Todd [crew chief] and I ran up front there last year, so I can't wait to go back," said Randy

The NAPA Auto Parts 200 can be seen live on ESPN at 4:00pm EST or on MRN, Saturday October 30.
