Powers Motorsports Dodge 5 Star Electric And Recreation NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

MEMPHIS MOTORSPORTS PARK (June 25,2001) - The Powers Motorsports # 55 Dodgetruck driven by Tom Powers started the Memphis 200 from the 29th position. After several weeks of disappointing finishes the #55 team finishedin 21st. spot, the best so far this season.

John Figler, was acting crew chief this weekend for Mike Hammerle who has taken a couple of weeks off to be with his brand new baby boy, Mike Jr.

"John made a few changes in the setup and the truck felt really good" said Tom Powers. "Pit stops went well and we stayed out of trouble all day despite a couple of near misses!" I am real proud of this team and the way we are finally coming together, all this without the help of sponsorship" The Powers Motorsports # 55 team has  raced in 8 of the 9 events it has been entered in, failing to qualify only once. The next event will be in Milwaukee June 30.
