THE MILWAUKEE MILE, - (June 30, 2001) The Powers Motorsports # 55 Dodge truck had another exciting run this past Saturday. Driver Tom Powers started the 5 Star Electric and Recreation Dodge in the 31st Position and finished 23rd.
A vibration thought to be tire related started around lap 150. The #55 pitted under green and returned to the track for another 30 lapswith no improvement. When the race was over, it was found that a broken vibration dampener was the problem.
John Figler did a fine job as acting crew chief filling in for Mike Hammerle who will return next week in Kansas. Mike took a leave of his duties with the #55 Team to be with his newbaby boy, Mike Jr.
"Once that vibration started, we were pretty much just riding around," said driver Tom Powers.
The next NASCAR Craftsman Truck event will be at Kansas Speedway July 7th
