BUESCHER AT POCONO... James Buescher will be making his first appearance to the 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway for the running of the inaugural Pocono Mountains 125 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS).
BUESCHER (ON COMPETING AT POCONO): "I'm honored to be a part of the inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Pocono Raceway. My team has learned a lot this year and I'm sure they will adapt quickly to the new surroundings of Pocono as they've done all season long. I think the group qualifying will be interesting to see. I am curious to see how it works out and if being the first in your group gives you a disadvantage from the drafting standpoint. No one really knows how it will go so we will all figure it out together on Saturday! Since the race will only be 50 laps there won't be much time to wait for handling to come in. There will be a lot of on-track action and I just hope to be a strong contingent at the end."
CHASSIS INFORMATION... Crew chief Michael Shelton has chosen Chassis No. 11 from the Turner Motorsports stable to run at this weekend's Pocono Mountains 125. Buescher last piloted this No. 31 Wolf Pack Rentals Chevrolet to a respective 4th-place finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway and a 6th-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway. Chassis No. 11 is a Leavitt chassis with a Kevin Harvick Inc. body.
THE SEASON SO FAR... Buescher has recorded an average starting position of 7.6 and an average finishing position of 8.8 in the 9 races he has competed in the 2010 NCWTS season. In the last six consecutive races, he has earned three top-five finishes and qualified in the top-3 five times.
LOOKING BACK... Last week at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, Buescher continued his impressive qualifying effort by posting his fifth top-three starting position. As the checkered flag flew on lap 200, Buescher crossed the finish line in fifth-place -- the driver's fourth top-5 finish of the season.
