Timothy Peters Ready For A Repeat In Phoenix
* Peters At Phoenix...The Lucas Oil 150 will mark Timothy Peters' first Camping World Truck Series start at Phoenix International Raceway. Peters ran a Nationwide Series race at the track in 2007. He started 29th and finished 13th. Peters has experienced success on short tracks this season. He has earned four top-10's this year on tracks one-mile and smaller including capturing his first win at Martinsville Speedway just three weeks ago.
* Race For Points...With just two races remaining to secure his spot in the Camping World Truck Series driver point standings, Peters is determined to earn strong finishes at Phoenix and Homestead. He currently sits eighth in the point standings, just 80 points outside of the fifth position. It would mean the world to Peters to finish inside the top-five but either way he deems this year a success. When he joined Red Horse Racing in June, Peters was 19th in points. In that short amount of time, he moved his way from 19th to 8th; an accomplishment the #17 team is very proud of.

Timothy Peters on racing at Phoenix International Raceway" I've only raced Phoenix one time and it was in a Nationwide Series car. I really like the track; it's definitely more of a short track and I love short track racing. We can use our win at Martinsville to our advantage at Phoenix. We've had some struggles the last couple of weeks and haven't earned the finishes we wanted to but we plan to pick back up the momentum and Phoenix and finish the year out strong."
Crew Chief Chad Kendrick on Phoenix International Raceway "I'm hoping our success at Martinsville will translate to Phoenix. It's the most similar track to Martinsville that we go to in these last four races. I haven't been to Phoenix as a crew chief and Timothy hasn't been in a truck there but aren't really worried about that. I feel like we have both prepared as much as we can. We need to get at least a top-five finish in these last two weeks to give Timothy a shot at the top-five in driver points. That is something that means a lot to us as a team so we will be on our game for sure."
Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis # 103 in the Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway. It was raced at Iowa Speedway where Peters started 12th and finished eighth.
