MIKE WALLACE PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES NOTES AND QUOTES
Race: GM Goodwrench Service Plus/AC Delco 300 Day/Date: Saturday, October 24, 1998 Time: 12:30 p.m. PDT TV/Radio: TBS/NTN Phoenix International Raceway is the track where Mike Wallace first got into the seat of a NASCAR Winston Cup race car. In fact, it was the first time in the modern racing era that three brothers competed against each other in the same NASCAR Winston Cup race. Rusty, Mike and Kenny Wallace were all in the starting lineup for the 1991 NASCAR Winston Cup race. "This track holds a lot of memories for me. That first race here in a Winston Cup car was a day I will never forget," said Wallace. "I like racing here and the fact that this is a combination race means there will be more people in the stands. Seeing and hearing the fans is the reason we are out here racing week in and week out. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't be here."
Pep Boys will be joining sponsorship forces with Purolator PureONE for the last two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Pep Boys will be on the hood of the No. 52 Purolator PureONE Chevrolet.
Wallace will be color commentating for ESPN Speed World during NASCAR Winston Cup qualifying on Friday, October 23.
Wallace will attend Toolies Country in Phoenix to sign autographs from 8-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 22.
