BLISS LOOKING TO ADD ANOTHER TRUCK WIN AT PHOENIX TO HIS RESUME
* Bliss will be making his 22nd NASCAR series start at the Phoenix International Raceway this weekend. He has five NASCAR Nextel Cup Series starts, four NASCAR Busch Series starts and 12 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts on the 1.0-mile oval.
* Bliss has two poles at Phoenix. He won the pole 1997 and followed that up by not only getting the pole in 1998 but also went on to win the race.
* In only 11 races with Bobby Hamilton Racing this season Bliss has finished in the top 10 seven times.
* Bliss will pilot "Duster" in the Casino Arizona 150. Bliss last drove this particular chassis at Martinsville last month to a sixth place finish.
Looping Around Phoenix: According to NASCAR's loop data statistics, Bliss has made 52 green flag passes on the mile oval. Out of a possible 300 laps, he has also run inside the top 15 for 237 laps in the last two NCTS races at Phoenix.
Bliss on Racing at Phoenix: "Looking at my stats at Phoenix I would be crazy if I didn't say I loved that place, but I can't pin point why I run so good there. It could be because I have a lot of laps on that track. I have run everything from Nextel Cup Cars to USAC Crown and Midget cars at the mile oval. One reason the track is so fun to run is because even though it is a short track you have so much room to maneuver down the straightaways. You can still get caught up in someone else's mess like any short track, but at Phoenix I think you have more time to react than we normally would. If our races turn out like the past two have I would be sure to tune in because my bets are on another crazy finish."
