Small times in 24th in PIR NCTS tests.

Avondale, AZ Jason Small wound up 24th on the time sheets in Wednesday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice sessions at the Phoenix International Raceway. Small steered the Small Motorsports/Lucas Oil Products Chevy to a fast lap of 29.252 seconds/123.069 miles per hour on the flat 1-mile desert oval. Mike Bliss led the session with a fast time of 28.593/125.905.

"We are comfortable, but not totally happy," Small said. "We are going to make a few changes to get some more bite off the corners. We have a good handling truck with some good horsepower, but we need to get more of that horsepower down to the track. If we can do that, we should get up near the top-10 in qualifying. We are looking forward to the race because this truck always runs well come racetime."

Small and the rest of the NCTS contingent will qualify for the Silverado 150 Thusday at 2 pm ET. The green flag will fall on race at 3 pm ET on Friday, November 8 and can be seen live on ESPN. The race will be broadcast live on NASCAR Radio on XM Satellite Radio and on MRN Radio affiliates nationwide.
