Chase On Phoenix:
Chase is coming off a 19th place finish at Martinsville where a very strong run was derailed by a flat tire. The rookie and his BHR2 team look for a career run this week in Phoenix.
"I raced at Phoenix last year in the Busch race and it is a really fun track to race on. It is a tricky track and it took me some time to figure the place out but towards the end of the race last year I was very comfortable getting around there. The different ends of the track make it unique and it is necessary to have strong horsepower to run well. My guys have been giving me great trucks and Arrington Engines provides for great horsepower. We have had great success this year on the flat tracks and I believe that we will be pretty good on this flat one as well. We have had our share of bad luck this season and hopefully that is all behind us. We want to have some great runs here these last three races and set the tone for next season. Also, I have lots of family members in the Phoenix area and they will be at the track cheering us on so I want to put on a good show for them."
#8 DODGE at Phoenix:
Chase will be racing a chassis nicknamed "Chunky" this weekend at Phoenix. This will be the eighth race of the 2004 season for "Chunky" and Chase finished 19th last time out with the truck in Martinsville. Also, "Chunky" has produced the career best effort for the rookie earlier this year at Gateway 0x2022 a track that can be compared to Phoenix.
Phoenix Hospitality Partners:
Chase and his #8 DODGE will partner with the Scottsdale Plaza Resort this week at Phoenix. As part of the program, the team will be guests at the resort during their stay in the Phoenix area and a few lucky employees from the Scottsdale Plaza Resort will be guests of the team at the race on Friday. Also, the logo of the 404-room resort will be displayed on the #8 DODGE truck this week.
Career at Phoenix:
Chase will be making his second career start at the Phoenix International Raceway. Last season he competed in the NASCAR Busch Series race at the 1-mile oval and came home with a 30th place finish.
