TRUCKS CONVERGE ON WALT DISNEY WORLD SPEEDWAY
ORLANDO, FLA., December 2, 1996 -- The first 16 of an expected 35 trucks were transported into Walt Disney World Speedway this afternoon in preparation for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series' first test at the one-mile oval.
The two-day test starting Tuesday will be the only time the trucks will practice before they return to Walt Disney World for practice and qualifying for the 1997 season-opening Chevy Trucks Challenge on Jan. 19 weekend.

Drivers participating at the test will join television commentator Bob Jenkins at Orlando's Race Rock 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday for an autograph session. Race Rock, located at 8986 International Drive in Orlando, is central Florida's ticket outlet for the two January races at Disney World, including the Indy
Racing League's Indy 200 at Walt Disney World Presented by Aurora. The races are promoted by IMS Events Inc., an affiliated company of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
A wrapup report will be faxed late Tuesday afternoon on testing activities, including driver comments and news items.
