Bobby Hamilton/Dana Racing Notes
Topic of Interest
* Bobby Hamilton has been fairly successful as New Hampshire International Speedway throughout the years in Winston Cup. He has led the most laps on two occasions, started on the outside of the front row three times in a row, and he also has a third place finish in 1997. * When Bobby Hamilton takes the green flag for this weekend's Pennzoil 200 it will be his third start of the season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and his 10th of his career.
* Bobby Hamilton will be trying to become only the fourth driver in history to win a race in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, if he can take home the victory in the New Hampshire event. The other drivers that have performed this feat are Mark Martin, Ken Schrader, and Terry Labonte.
* The Dana Racing team and owner/driver Bobby Hamilton will be running the truck named "Catfish" this week at New Hampshire International Speedway. It is the same truck that Hamilton drove in Martinsville and Memphis earlier this year. It is also the oldest truck that the Lebanon, Tennessee based team has. * On Wednesday August 4th, Bobby Hamilton will join Joe Ruttman in Fort Wayne, Indiana at two Spicer plants. Both drivers are scheduled to tour the plants and meet the employees.
The Spicer plants produce the front axle assemblies for the Dodge Ram, Jeep, and Ford's Explorer.
