Bodine Fifth in Nashville, Third Overall
Mooresville, N.C. (04-05-2010) In Friday night's race at Nashville Superspeedway, Todd Bodine drove chassis number TRD-131 in its first ever NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. The No. 30 Germain.com Tundra was fast and handled well, keeping Bodine in the top-15 for 100% of the 150 laps raced on Friday night. Bodine started 14th and finished fifth.
"We had a good run tonight. We raced a brand new truck. It was fast. The guys at Germain Racing did a great job and we had awesome pit stops tonight. We'll take a fifth place finish for the Germain.com Tundra tonight," smiled Bodine, satisfied with another very strong performance at Nashville Superspeedway.
Bodine and the No. 30 Germain.com Tundra worked through a variety of chassis setups in the two practice sessions, testing some new setup ideas.
"The No. 30 Germain.com Tundra has a strong track record at Nashville Superspeedway, so we were able to use some of our practice sessions to look at a variety of setup ideas for our new race truck. We tried some things that our Cup team and the No. 15 Camry have been doing, and then we put setup under the Germain.com Tundra that's worked very well for us each time we've come here," explained crew chief Mike Hillman Jr.
The No. 30 Germain.com Tundra has collected 17 of Germain Racing's 18 Truck Series wins and five of the team's seven pole awards. No other Tundra has earned more victories than the No. 30 Germain.com Tundra driven by Bodine.
Bodine is ranked third in Truck Series driver standings while the team ranks fifth in owner's points after four of 25 races. The next race for the No. 30 Germain.com Tundra is May 2nd at Kansas Speedway.
