Timothy Peters Excited For The Trip To Music City
* Peters at Nashville...Timothy Peters couldn't be more excited for back to back races at his two favorite tracks. Coming off a fourth place finish at Martinsville Speedway, Peters is really looking forward to the Friday night race at Nashville Superspeedway. The Nashville 200 will mark Peters' fifth start at the Lebanon Tennessee 1.33-mile oval. In four previous starts, Peters has started inside the top-15 each time including starting from the pole in last season's event. After starting first, Peters backed up his performance with a fourth place finish. Despite having success there in the past, Peters wants nothing more than to hoist that very special guitar over his head on Friday night.
* Back On Top...Peters left Martinsville Speedway back on top of the Camping World Truck Series point standings once again. After leaving Daytona with the win and the point lead, Peters dropped to the second spot after the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. With another solid finish at Martinsville, Peters reclaimed the lead by a margin of 59 points. With the Championship on their minds, the #17 Red Horse Racing team plans to keep that momentum going through the season.
* Consistency is Key...They say consistency is the key to winning championships and Timothy Peters is proving this could be his year. After starting the season with a bang by winning at Daytona, Peters earned a seventh place finish at Atlanta followed by a fourth place finish at his home track, Martinsville Speedway. Not finishing outside of the top-10 in the first three events, the #17 team looks to be a strong contender for the title in 2010.
* Crescent Tools On Board... The Crescent Tools logo will adorn the #17 Toyota Tundra as an associate sponsor for the entire 2010 season. The Crescent brand product line now consists not only of adjustable wrenches, but also a wide selection of other tools. These include, several styles of pliers, ratcheting wrenches, screwdrivers, and tool sets. One of the most recent examples of Crescent innovation is the new RapidSlide™ adjustable wrench.
Timothy Peters on racing at Nashville Superspeedway "I'm really looking forward to going back to Nashville with momentum on our side. It's the site of my first career pole, one of my favorite tracks on the schedule and we are taking my favorite truck; life is good right now."
Crew Chief Jeff Hensley on Nashville Superspeedway "Nashville is one of my favorite tracks. I've always had success there but it seems like my truck has been leading up to the end so many times but never got the win. I would really like to win one! It's the first concrete track of the season. Concrete is easier to work with since it's not as heat sensitive. We would like to keep this momentum going and get another strong finish so we can stay up front in this point's battle"
Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis #138 in the Nashville 200 at Nashville Superspeedway. This is the same chassis Peters raced at Atlanta earlier this season where he started 30th and finished seventh. It is also the same truck that sat on the pole in Nashville last summer.
