DAVID REUTIMANN WINS TOYOTA TUNDRA 200 AT NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY
"It's a great feeling," said Reutimann. "I'm so happy for NTN, Toyota, and everyone at Darrell Waltrip Motorsports. I kept thinking don't do anything stupid during the race. I prayed so hard down the front straightaway and then down the back straightaway. I didn't want to screw this one up. We've been so close these past few races. It was a long time coming. I feel 500 pounds lighter after this win."
"This was one race I wanted to win," said Reutimann. "There were 7,000 Toyota employees in the stands today. I just wished NTN could have been with us for their first win. Darrell said in the driver's meeting that this race and Martinsville are two races you want to win. You win the Grandfather clock at Martinsville and the Gibson guitar at Nashville. When Darrell held up the guitar, I had to have it."
"We were horrible yesterday in practice and we weren't even close," said Reutimann. "We had a break and undid a bunch of stuff. We made some good gains. Jason Overstreet made great changes. The crew did an incredible job. Today was unbelievable. It's just so hard to describe."
"I kept telling David that he is so close," said Darrell Waltrip. "I told him to just keep digging and you'll get you one. He's gained so many points in the last few races. He's not out of the championship hunt by any means and he's going to win some more races. I can't wait to see what's going to happen down the road. Every week he moves up a spot in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings. I'm putting some money on him to win the championship. It's a great feeling to be here with him today. Toyota has done an incredible job and continues to do so. It's been one of the best things that I've ever done."
"I told David if you win a race this year, I'll get you a Rolex," continued Waltrip. "Since he won the Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville, I'm going to have to buy him a nice one."
