NASHVILLE HAS GREAT FANS SAYS LANCE NORICK
NASHVILLE, TN - Every track the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races has great fans, stated Lance Norick, driver of the #90 NHL Dodge. But Nashville fans seem to be an especially enthusiastic group. They really love the truck races and turn out in force when we come to town.
The August 15 Federated Auto Parts 250 marks the third time Nashville Speedway USA will host the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
We always look forward to this race, Norick continued. There is so much to do in Nashville. The track has planned great activities to give the fans the opportunity to meet the drivers and see the trucks. With the NASCAR Cafe in town, we have another chance to mingle with our fans.
The fans are the most important component of our sport, remarked Norick. The intense competitiveness among the drivers on the track generates tremendous enthusiasm among the fans. Their loyalty and support is the major reason our sponsor, the National Hockey League, made the decision to become involved in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. It is exciting for us to be able to give the NHL additional exposure in NASCAR.
The Federated Auto Parts 250 is the 17th race of the 27 event 1998 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule.
Bud Pole qualifying for the event is scheduled for Friday, August 14 at 6:00 p.m. The race will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15 and will be televised live by TNN. NASCAR Truck Network will broadcast the race to over 400 radio station affiliates nationwide.
