Sauter Charges From the Back to Eleventh in Nashville

Sandusky, Oh. (April 3, 2010) -- Johnny Sauter was forced to start at the tail of the 36-truck starting field for Friday night's Nashville 200, but that didn't stop him from charging through the field and challenging for a top-ten finish in the No. 13 In Country Television/Curb Records Chevrolet.

Sauter made quick work of the field, charging past 17 other drivers in the first ten laps of the 150-lap race. Sauter eventually broke into the top dozen, but an extended run of green flag racing left him a lap behind the leader and didn't allow for an opportunity to make one final adjustment to make a charge into the top ten. Sauter eventually crossed the finish line in eleventh.

"We could have used one more adjustment to the In Country Television Chevy," Sauter said. "It just plowed like a dump truck that final run. I really thought we were about a sixth or seventh place truck but we changed a shock after qualifying and had to go to the back for an unapproved adjustment. Then we had a 70 lap run without a caution. I can't ever remember a Truck race at Nashville running that long under green. But we had a good truck, Joe Shear and the guys did a great job -- we just couldn't get track position."

Sauter is 14th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings, just 19 points out of the top ten.

The next race for Sauter and the No. 13 ThorSport Racing Chevrolet is the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, May 2.
