Snider, 23, has joined ThorSport Racing and will drive the organization’s No. 13 Ford full-time in the Camping World Truck Series this season. The team will have sponsorship from Liberty Tax.

Snider has run partial schedules the last two seasons in the ARCA and Truck series. Last year, he competed in eight Truck races with Kyle Busch Motorsports, with a best finish of third at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. He won in his ARCA debut in 2016 at Toledo.

“After getting to know the organization over the past month, I’m even more excited to get to Daytona, and to join Thorsport in 2018,” Snider, a student at UNC Charlotte, said in a statement.

“I’m really looking forward to working with my new teammates, as there is a lot of knowledge to tap into going into my rookie season.”

Also competing for ThorSport this season are two-time Truck champion Matt Crafton, Ben Rhodes and Grant Enfinger.

“He is an exceptional young man and talented driver,” David Pepper, general manager at ThorSport Racing, said of Snider. “With him, I feel we’ve really rounded out our four-truck lineup and this, to me, is the strongest driver lineup we've ever had.

“We’re going to be very competitive this season, starting with Daytona.”

Snider is the son of NASCAR on NBC pit road reporter Marty Snider.
