Bodine is Heads to Milwaukee with Copart and a Big Surprise for Race Fans
June 16, 2009 (Mooresville, N.C.) - This time last week, Todd Bodine and the No. 30 Tundra crew were without a sponsor for Friday's Copart 200 at The Milwaukee Mile. Bodine will now pilot the No. 30 Copart Tundra in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Milwaukee. This is a nice surprise for the Germain Racing team that has an even nicer surprise for race fans. Bodine, a NASCAR veteran who's spent his lifetime in and around racing, knows the significance of racing and winning at The Milwaukee Mile.
"Milwaukee's been around a long time and its had a lot of very famous racers that have raced there. The history is incredible. If you don't get excited and understand that history when you go there, then you have no business racing there," explained Bodine. "Milwaukee is one of those tracks that is part of the (foundation) of our sport. I look forward to putting the Copart Tundra on track for the Copart 200 there on Friday night."
In 2008, Bodine finished fifth at Milwaukee in Friday's Truck Series race, and filling in for a fellow Toyota team, finished 6th that Saturday in a Toyota Camry. He has mastered racing at Milwaukee in the NASCAR ranks but says the track can draw a driver, veteran or rookie, into a bad habit.
"A problem (any) driver can have at Milwaukee is overdriving the track. Usually you'll try to drive it in too deep or get to the throttle to trip. Milwaukee is a lot about being smooth and being consistent, not necessarily how hard you drive it. A lot of times the harder you drive Milwaukee, the slower you go," said Bodine.
Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. is looking forward to seeing the Copart Tundra at the front of the pack again in Milwaukee.
"Heading to Milwaukee with the Copart folks on board again is a race weekend we can't wait to begin. We feel we have a handle on the track and we've been able to show that the last two years. A lot of Copart Racing and Todd Bodine fans will be cheering for us to do well Friday night. We'll do what we do every week and give it our best," said Hillman Jr.
Copart joined Germain Racing as a primary sponsor for six Truck Series races. The schedule has been increased to eight races. Milwaukee is one of two that have been added--the second will be revealed this weekend at TMM.
Crew Chief Mike Hillman Jr. will be over the wall again at Milwaukee, changing rear tires.
Bodine holds two top-five and two top-ten finishes in Trucks at TMM. He has led laps in two of the four races, and in NNS racing action, Bodine has led 156 laps in eight races, including leading 125 laps in his second trip to TMM.
Chassis TRD--106 was chosen for Milwaukee. The truck was last raced at Bristol in 2008 and is the same chassis Bodine raced last year at Milwaukee, finishing 5th.
Germain Racing has won two or more races each year in the Truck Series since its first race in 2004. The team has 18 wins, six pole awards and one Truck Series championship.

Toyota Has Started an Annual Bowling Tradition at Milwaukee for NASCAR drivers and Media to interact--do you have goals for this year's bowling tourney?
"My goal is to keep it out of the gutter. I'd like to bowl a whole game with no gutter balls. I may have to give it another try with decorating my head to look like a bowling ball to see if it helps. I'm no Dick Weber, that's for sure. Seriously, though, the bowling tournament that Toyota has made into a tradition is a great opportunity for the drivers to relax and spend time with the Milwaukee media and with each other outside of the race track."

Copart is Back On Board at Milwaukee
"Heading to Milwaukee with the Copart folks on board again is a race weekend we can't wait to begin. We feel we have a handle on that track and we've been able to prove it the last two years. There are a lot of Copart Racing and Todd Bodine fans that will be cheering hard for us to prove it at Milwaukee. We'll give it our best shot, for sure."
