Bliss battled an ill-handling No. 16 IWX Motor Freight/Hi Performance Racing Cards Chevrolet all day. Despite the problem, Bliss was able to battle his way into the Top-10. By pitting out of sequence with the leaders, Bliss eventually cycled into the lead on Lap 83 holding the top spot until Lap 104. Unfortunately, Bliss was unable to stay with the leaders in the late stages of the race as worn tires sealed his fate but still produced a Top-10 finish and kept the Milwaukie, OR driver fourth in the 2002 NCTS standings.

MIKE BLISS POST RACE QUOTES -

"The first set of tires we had on the truck just didn't work. We took them off early and had to put them back on for the final laps of the race. The truck was just really loose and I was really having problems hanging on to it. It went from a winning truck to a Top-10 truck. We didn't have a choice, we had to pit early. There was just nothing that we could do. It would have run okay with some tires if those guys had on equal tires we would have been all right. At the end, our tires were just junk and I couldn't race anybody."
