YOU RAN WELL AT THE BEGINNING OF THE RACE BUT LOST A TIRE GOING INTO TURN ONE TOWARD THE END OF THE RACE.
"That wasn't so scary, but I think we had a wheel coming off or something right before the first stop and that was getting pretty nerve-wracking. We had a bad vibration and I think it was a wheel. Luckily, we got through that first pit stop and we got back out there and we were just too tight. Both Jon (Wood) and I were too tight in the center. We need to go test somewhere or something, but we were having a little trouble all weekend with that. We were just driving around and then we lost a cylinder and we were just limping around. I came out of turn four and something let all of the air out of my tire, my left-front. I'm glad it happened coming out of four rather than going into one. The crew did a good job. We salvaged a 15th-place finish. I think we finished better than the points leader. For what we had going on, a flat during green and then losing a cylinder, that's a pretty good day for us."
"Jack Roush has a lot of resources. We have great engines, great trucks and great people, but mentally it's kind of a struggle. The guys are getting used to me and building their confidence in me, and, plus, because you don't have a sponsor, there's not that sense of security at the shop. That's just inherent of not having a sponsor. I think once we can come up with a marketing partner to go for the rest of the year with us, it will really help out the teams just to feel real confident that we will be racing every week."
