Race: Kragen/Exide 150 TV/Radio: ESPN2/NTN Day/Date: Sunday, October 11, 1998 Time: 5 p.m. EDT Sears Point Raceway is a track that Mike Wallace has experienced in a NASCAR Winston Cup race car and a NASCAR Craftsman race truck, but the track has changed since he last raced there. Removing the carousel shortened the course and changed the groove on the 1.95-mile road course. "Sears Point Raceway is one of those tracks that we have always run well, but not always finish well." said Wallace. "We are right there in the thick of competition and then something happens. So yeah I like to race there, I just would like to see a finish indicative of how well we have run."

The Purolator PureONE racing team is bringing the truck they took to the road course in Topeka earlier this season. "Dorothy" was a brand new truck for Topeka. "The truck we took to Topeka is the truck we are taking to Sears Point Raceway," said Tim Kohuth, crew chief for the No. 52. "That was a brand new truck and it had its growing pains. We have tested and researched what went wrong in Topeka and feel we have corrected the problem. That truck is going to run good." The No. 52 Purolator PureONE Chevrolet race team heads out on a three race journey on October 6. The team will stay out west for Sears Point Raceway, Mesa Marin Raceway and Phoenix International Raceway. In a test of time and endurance, the Purolator PureONE race team passes with flying colors.

The No. 52 Purolator PureONE Chevrolet welcomes aboard Ken Thompson of Rialto Concrete Products, Inc., Pipeline Carriers, Inc., and Ken Thompson, Inc. as an associate sponsor for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series last four races of the 1998 season. The races are in Sonoma, CA, Bakersfield, CA, Phoenix, AZ and Las Vegas, NV.

The No. 52 Purolator PureONE transporter driven by Dale and Donald "Huffy" Hoffman will participate in the Craftsman Hauler parade across the Golden Gate bridge on October 8.
