PORTLAND (April 21, 1998)

Purolator PureONE returns as the primary sponsor on Mike Wallace's No. 52 Chevrolet for the Craftsman 200 presented by NAPA.

This will be Wallace's first trip to Portland Speedway. He joined the Ken Schrader Racing team in July of last year.

"I have never been to Portland, but I have heard a lot about it and feel pretty comfortable going there," Wallace said. "We were disappointed with our 11th place finish at Phoenix and hope to go to Portland and rebound from that being competitve enough to win."

"We're taking a new truck to Portland," said Timmy Kohuth, crew chief for the No. 52 Ken Schrader Racing team. "It's been in the works since before December. We've tried some different things and think it will run well."

Although this is Wallace's first trip to the Portland Speedway, the Ken Schrader Racing team finished ninth at the track in 1997.

Wallace went directly from Phoenix to Napa Valley, California where he will spend some time with Biagi Brothers, an associate sponsor on the Ken Schrader Racing Chevrolet.

Wallace has never been north of Sonoma, to the Portland or Seattle areas.
